SUMMARY:JUNGLE THE FUTURE
DESCRIPTION:JUNGLE THE FUTURE is a “fairytale gone wrong” for grown ups \nJUNGLE THE FUTURE is a theatrical f(r)iction documentary. \nJUNGLE THE FUTURE drags you into the groovy world of sharK and zebrA… our world! \n“The future is here… so is the jungle.” K&A \n  \nJungle the Future portrays the science-fiction journey of a humanized zebrA and sharK that escape their habitats to settle in cement territories: our cities. In the heart of a metropolis – amidst its grey neighborhoods- they confront the rites and customs of humans. In an effort to blend in they eat cigarettes\, dress-up in the corners\, get drunk on salt and gallop on rollers. The scandalous dream of the zebrA-lexandra Bellon\, and of the sharK-arla Isidorou\, is to integrate into human society. The audience\, as if visiting a zoo or a crime scene\, stays safely behind the lines. They witness their struggles\, nostalgia\, dreams for a better life and irresistable stamina to keep trying. \nTheir movements unfold between savage animalistic trance gestures and wacky odd human actions. What happens when the animals become all too human?“Jungle the Future” is a m-Ask s-How that questions our  relationship with animals\, urban and wild territories: BORDERS\, ORDERS\, OTHERS.  \nIn this physical theater performance the music becomes a storyteller without words\, tracing back the migration of the two animals with granulair percussive sounds\, atmospheric motives and groovy cords.  Are you ready for the JUNGLE? Are you ready for the FUTURE? \nJungle the Future to offer your mind provocative wild spaces and species. \n  \nCredits \nConcept\, choreography & performance: K&A (Karla Isidorou & Alexandra Bellon)\nMusic composition & performance: Alexandra Bellon & Viva Sanchez Reinoso Morand\nMask & costume design: our ready made society\nSound Recording: Leo Marin\, Bridge Studio Music\nSound mix: Alessandro Mazzieri\nCo-production: K&A\, Theater Ins Blau\, Amalthea\nSpecial thanks to: Kees van Leeuwen\, the entire team of Theater Ins Blau \n  \nhttps://theaterinsblau.nl/

SUMMARY:AM I A ROBOT?*
DESCRIPTION:‘Tonight\, we would like to hear a loud and enthusiastic applause for our very special guest Sophia.’ ‘Sophia\, how are you tonight?’ \nFunny\, uncomfortable\, provoking\, sometimes with a delay\, Sophia answers questions. Inspired by a true story\, “AM I A ROBOT?*” invites you to encounter SOPHIA. She is a social humanoid robot that was activated on February 14\, 2016 and is the first robot to receive citizenship of any country. AM I A ROBOT?* is a documentary show on the edge: an inappropriate circus demonstration to question our capability for empathy and explore our repetitive failure to recognise the rights of what is perceived as otherness. \n  \n“Talk show\,  AI\, post-human\, racism\, robotics\, ethics\, starification. We miss one word..  Empathy. How did we forget to be human?” K&A  \n  \nCredits: \nConcept & performance: K&A (Karla Isidorou & Alexandra Bellon)\nScenography & costumes: K&A\nSpecial thanks to: SOPHIA \n

SUMMARY:RELAY OF MATCHES
DESCRIPTION:RELAY OF MATCHES is a simple collective action: a poetic ignition\, a crucial gesture\, to transfer the gravity of inflammability. \nHow inflammable are our thoughts? Our actions? Our links? All together\, performers & audience\, we relay a simple gesture… some would say a childrens game: passing the sparkle of a match from one to another. Success or failure is not the point. Like thousands of people before us we will share the fire. From body to body\, hand to hand\, match to match\, border to border.\nNote: this performance is participatory. \nCredits:\nConcept & Performance: K&A\, Karla Isidorou & Alexandra Bellon\nWith special thanks to all the audience members that are ready to pass on the fire

SUMMARY:APOCALYPSE MON AMOUR
DESCRIPTION:APOCALYPSE MON AMOUR is an experimental documentary that zooms into the future 8102: a year in which the language is invaded by a virus. A live typed text is being engraved on the screen of the room\, the sounds of the amplified typewriter intrude the surrounding sound system of the cinema. Subtitles\, are not any more the sub\, but the protagonists. They become  the encoded images of the film. Through the cursor\, the live voice over and the circular sound the audience is blend into a looping apocalyptic world. \nA live film\, an immersive performance as an ode/death sentence to the letters of 8102. \nThe question is not what happens before.  The question is not what will be after.\nThe core is the transformation itself – as if typing into the eye of the cyclone. Letters swirling and dissolving into the air.\nYou lose your letters?\nTime goes on.\nHow long will you still be able to pass on the message? \n \nAPOCALYPSE MON AMOUR\, exposes the timeline of the expansion of a virus\, that grabs the common communication system: our language. An experimental documentary that zooms into 8102\, a year without letters. \nA taste of.. \nThe live typed text is being engraved on the screen of the room. The sounds of the amplified typewriter intrude the surrounding sound system of the cinema. The old machine becomes a music and filming installation. Subtitles\, are not any more the sub\, but the protagonists. They become  the encoded images of the film. K&A control  a black screen on which white letters\, words and sentences tell the story of a virus in the language. \nAppearance / Disappearance. \nThrough the cursor\, the audience is being  moved between enters\, shifts\, capital letters and corrected wor(l)ds. Mistakes reign on  a black screen intruded by voids. The words are scarred\, glitched\, reversed\, articulated\, damaged\, bugged. The audience is blend  into a looping apocalyptic world. \n“I try to type you a letter. I try to type you for later. From 8102 to now.” \n  \nCredits:\nConcept\, text & performance: K&A (Karla Isidorou & Alexandra Bellon)\nMusic composition & realization: Alexandra Bellon\nIT Design: Antoine Hordez

SUMMARY:MINUS 9
DESCRIPTION:part of RARE performances curated by Carolina Santos \nMINUS 9 is an anatomic sound installation\,\na one on one performance of 14 min for an ear\, to hear\, here.\nIt is an invitation to dive into the sonographic scenography of your own body. \nFrom the outside all seems to be silent\, from the inside the first blast of the universe is making a big band. In MINUS 9\, the boundaries between musician and audience\, between music and ritual\, silence and sound\, drumming and dreaming are broken down. \n‘With MINUS 9 we tease the equilibrium in the hierarchy of the senses. Can the “ear\, hear\, here” become the touching vestibule of a new order? We challenge the distance in between. When do we allow ourselves to be touched\, metaphorically or literally? We invite the audience to re-question and rethink how we relate to each other. In our society a few roles trespass our comfort zone to touch our skin: doctors\, caretakers\, dance & sport coaches. They touch you but are you really touched? Music touches us emotionally\, but what if it would literally touch your flesh?’ K&A \nK&A within their performative constellations transform/translocate/transhape the relationship between the performer and the spectator to make it fluid.\nIn any theater the audience carries a predetermined role. Within the work of K&A the expectation to be silent\, to sit in the dark\, to stay immobile\, to watch the stage is being shifted. The latitude of the performer correlates with the longitude of the audience and is being redefined. In MINUS 9 the ear of the audience becomes the music instrument on which the composition is made on and the soundsystem through which it is perceived. MINUS 9 crosses the inner ear sound barrier\, exposes the noise\, the music that is hidden inside our own machine. This performance is a sonographer\, an ultrasound guide into the auditors unknown zones. It is an ode to the simplicity that carries the multiplicity. A performance for an ear: to hear/here. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Le Tiret d’Alice / épisode 2
Héros-Limite\, 2020).

\n  \nCredits \nConcept\, choreography & performance: K&A (Karla Isidorou & Alexandra Bellon)\nMusic composition & performance: Alexandra Bellon & Viva Sanchez Reinoso Morand\nMask & costume design: our ready made society\nSound Recording: Leo Marin\, Bridge Studio Music\nSound mix: Alessandro Mazzieri\nCo-production: K&A\, Theater Ins Blau\, Amalthea\nSpecial thanks to: Kees van Leeuwen\, the entire team of Theater Ins Blau \n
